Abigail Murphy, Photographer

When you are looking for a photographer to capture the perfect image, you need to trust that the person behind the lens. By telling you a little more about me, I hope to build your confidence in my ability to do a fantastic job.

"From a young age I have had a fascination with framing the world around me"

I owned a camera as a child and loved taking pictures in my house, the garden and on trips out. My first professional photography memory is assisting with a photo shoot of Princess Diana.

My love of photography has never dwindled, so I went on to study BA Photography and Digital Design at the University of Westminster. Having graduated, I began working as a still life photographer in London. My talents were spotted and before long I began shooting for Vogue, Marie Claire and Elle magazines.

In developing my skills in digital photography, I worked with the biggest training facility in London, where I have been trained by top camera manufactures and studio lighting producers.

I've been fortunate to travel the world with my camera, shooting in such locations as the California desert and across the Caribbean Islands, in the Middle East and Australia. Some fascinating client projects have included capturing sporting images from a boat in Greece, showcasing hotels in the Alps and documenting the forming of Dubai through industrial images.

"I love the fact that my career gives me the opportunity to step into so many different worlds, gain an understanding of them and capture the essence of the experience in the image."

About my Camera

My most trusted piece of equipment is a top of the range Nikon Camera, which includes specialist features for taking high speed action shots and capturing an image in low light. This allows me to take incredible images in challenging conditions, where other cameras fail. I wouldn't be without it.

About my Studio

In addition to going out and about, I also have a professional studio for Still Life and Portrait Photography in Bledlow Ridge, Buckinghamshire. With a dedicated studio space, I have the freedom and time to create innovative images and have cutting edge digital facilities on hand. My clients also benefit in my charges, as I don?t have to pay for studio hire.

About my Lights

I have invested in top of the range Bowens lighting, meaning I can utilise their ground breaking technology to capture images at 1/500 of a second. Such equipment allows me to extend my technical skills to the extreme and create cutting edge images. Even the best photographers need to invest in top of the range equipment to push the boundaries of what's possible!

In combining my photographic expertise with excellent equipment and facilities, you can be reassured that no matter what brief you give me, the end result will impress.

Put simply, I love my job and it shows!
